A Visit to the Danbro Bakery By Seth Anandram Jaipuria School

The sun was shining bright, the day was pleasant as usual but what made it so special and fascinating was the upcoming visit to The Danbro Bakery ! The atmosphere was filled with joy, as we the students of Grade V boarded the bus and sang songs aboard . Everyone hooted in chorus ‘Danbro!’ when we arrived at the destination . We were eager to see the kitchen of the bakery and even more keen to taste that sprinkled frosting red velvet cake, decorated with crystal icing.

Around 9:30am, we reached Danbro and entered through its large wooden door. It was a glimpse into a place straight from the movie Charlie and the chocolate factory! There were honey flavoured mango puddings, fruit cake, chocolate sprinkled shakes, crunchy blueberry cookies, huge sizzling patties on their way and those spongy soft cakes. It was hard for us to hold back!

We took a seat on the beautifully carved chairs. After some time, we made our way to the displays and were informed by a gentleman that for a better experience of Danbro it would be good to download their app and also know more about their bakery institute which would give us a chance to become an amazingly creative chef!

It was a delight to witness their bakery in operation, creating such delicious delicacies for their customers. They placed the sponge, took some whipped cream and straightened the edges with some differently shaped knives. They placed chocolate sprinkles, added icing and for the final touch, garnished with red juicy berries on top. The outcome was the best display ever presented.

Finally, we were rewarded with some huge, sizzling herbal patties and a humongous container of juice to relish it with! Oh! That was a terrific field trip by our school or I would say “a yummy school treat” which gave us an experience of a lifetime!
