The Students of Seth Anandram Jaipuria go an an Outdoor Adventure Camp
“Adventure is not outside, it is within.” – George Eliot
This quote encapsulates the spirit of the students of Seth Anandram Jaipuria School, Lucknow, when, on 27th January 2023, they embarked on a delightful adventurous program to Rocksport and discovered the thrill of adventure within themselves. The excitement among the students was palpable as they eagerly anticipated the fun activities that awaited them.
As the bus made its way to the camp, the students chatted and laughed with each other, sharing their excitement for the day ahead and discussing the activities they were looking forward to. Located in a beautiful and serene setting, the camp offered a variety of outdoor activities such as ROCK CLIMBING, ZIP-LINING, TRACTOR RIDE, TUG OF WAR, COMMANDO NET, POTTERY and a walk through a KITCHEN GARDEN. The students were divided into groups and the camp staff gave a warm welcome and a comprehensive safety briefing. The warming up session was a great way to start the day as it allowed the students to bond with their peers while exploring the natural beauty of the area. The rock-climbing activity, which was a new experience for many of them, was a hit among the students as it challenged them to conquer the heights and provided them with an opportunity to contest with their own selves physically and mentally. The students were able to push themselves to new heights, both literally and figuratively. The zip-lining activity was the highlight of the day as it gave the students a chance to take in the stunning views and also helped to foster a sense of accomplishment. They also learned about different pottery-making techniques such as hand-building, wheel-throwing and also tried their hands on it.
The camp provided the students with a delicious lunch and the students were given some free time to relax and enjoy the scenery. The school picnic to the adventure camp was a great success and fostered camaraderie among the students. It also provided a unique opportunity for the students and teachers to interact in a non-classroom setting, and the activities offered a chance to learn new skills. Over all, it was a memorable and enjoyable experience for all.
