“Art is not what you see but what you make others see”. – Edgar Degas

Seth Anandram Jaipuria School, Lucknow hosted an Art Exhibition on 20th March 2023, on the theme of “Blooming Brushes”. The exhibition displayed the students’ artistic abilities and included sub-themes portraying the Adiguru- Lord Shiva, Picturesque Landscapes, Transgender community, Best out of Waste, Abstract Art, Vector Painting to name a few. The exhibition was a grand success, and visitors were enthralled by the creativity and imagination of the young artists.

The chief guest for the event was Mr. Alok Kumar Kushwaha, an eminent artist and Ex-Dean, College of Art and Craft. His feedback and insights were a treasure trove of information for the students. His words of wisdom proved to be the icing on the cake for the budding artists.

The sub-theme of Lord Shiva was a prominent feature of the art exhibition and showcased the power of art to connect people to their spiritual side. The abstract art and vector paintings were a feast for the eyes and left visitors in awe. The picturesque landscapes were so realistic that visitors felt as if they were transported to another world. The Best-out-of-Waste segment was also impressive, where the students created masterpieces using discarded materials such as bottles and newspapers. It was a true example of “one man’s trash is another man’s treasure”. One of the most impressive aspects of the exhibition was the artwork created by the little students of grade 1 to 5. Their creations, which included piggies made out of used plastic bottles, cloth painting and shoe painting were beyond creativity proving that age is just a number. The students expressed their artistic genius through paper weaving art, tealight candle holder art that showcased the students’ attention to detail. The Warli and Madhubani paintings were a colorful celebration of India’s rich cultural heritage. Their artwork was a tribute to the masters such as Pablo Picasso, Edward Munch, Vincent Charles Gogh, and Salvador Dali.

The parents and visitors in were high spirits, and their faces were lit up with happiness and pride. Their artwork was truly a specimen of craftmanship and showcased their creative juices flowing. The visitors were speechless and impressed beyond words, leaving with a lasting impression of the event. The Principal, Ms. Poonam Kochitty commended their efforts and was particularly impressed with the level of detail and intricacy in their artwork.

To say the least, the exhibition was a breath of fresh air and a reminder that creativity and imagination have no bounds. The positive vibes and the appreciation from the visitors made the event a once in a lifetime experience for the everyone.
